California State Series Program 2009
The California State Championship Series is open to all NBL licensed riders.
The NBL California State Championship Series point classes will be set according to the NBL local rules.
Qualifications for earning a California Golden State Number Plate and Year end awards.
The Golden State Series season begins with the Commissioner's Cup and ends with the Golden State Championship Race.
State Number Plates and Year end awards will be awarded to all qualified riders in each age class from the Rookie, Novice, Expert, Girls, Cruiser, Ladies Cruiser, and Elite Class riders.
To be eligible for the award of a California State Number, Number Plate and Year end awards, a rider must compete in at least six (6) Golden State Qualifiers and the Golden State Championship Race in their age and profiency. Riders having less that the six required Qualifiers may race in the open class at the Championship. Exceptions due to emergency situations may be voted on by the State Board.
Golden State Qualifiers are double point races. The State Championship is a triple point race.
Races will be run according to "Local Race Rules". All point classes will run Main Events. (Three Motos and a main)
Award of California Golden State Numbers will be based on the riders best six (6) qualifier points, plus the State Championship race points. Combined classes will be pointed as they finish in Motos and Main, and trophied separately in the Main.
The California State Series also provides a separate award to those riders who participate in ALL State Qualifiers plus the State Championship. (Including the Commissioners Cup race).
Earning a State Number 1 to 15 qualifies a rider for the Presidents Cup Race held the day prior to the Christmas Classic National. (To be held in Lexington, Virginia in 2008)
State Number Plates may be used at any Local or State Races in the State in which they were earned. The number must be followed by "CA". State Numbers may not be used at National and Regional National events. Earned State numbers may be used starting the day following the State Championship Race. Previous State numbers will expire with the State Championship, and will no longer be valid.
Riders are required to attend two or more local races.
