Golden State NBL BMX is California's #1 racing sanction that offers anyone the chance to be part of TEAM CALIFORNIA and compete against other states for the coveted President's Cup Trophy. Riders get the chance to compete at any of the 8 courses throughout California. Just 3 weekends and the Championship race earns you a custom designed state team jacket, a CA state number on matching number plate, and a berth on the state team. Riders who make it to the President's Cup Race also receive cash toward their trip expenses.

A second option is available for those wishing to just qualify to race the President's Cup on Dec. 27, and NOT receive the awards package. This program allows a rider to just race 2 qualifiers and the Championship.

For the 2012 racing season, Golden State BMX will be running a California Jacket Series. All riders racing at least 6 races in this series will be awarded a custom Golden State Jacket (Hoodie) with special awards going to the top riders in each class. A planning meeting will be held at the Reedley track on Feb. 11th. All tracks are welcome to attend. We will meet right after racing at approximately 4 pm. For questions call Mary at 408-848-5210. Congratulations to Team California for winning the "New" President's Cup race at the ABA Grands recently in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A new tradition has started! The riders wore their 2011 CA jackets in the parade lap, received an extra number plate, and $375 in cash to help with expenses. Cruisers also got their entry fees paid. Great job riders! See you next year!

Congratulations to Dani Fitzgerald for being a 100% er in the 2011 Golden State Series. She will be receiving a 100%er Golden State 2011 Backpack.

Check out the Golden State Series riders in the picture above who received their 2011 state plates and hoodies at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA, recently. They were able to enjoy the rides for free as their trophy for racing the Dorsey Cup at Santa Maria, CA the previous day. A great time was had by all!

Good news for all Golden State Series riders! The second Livermore make up race will be held Saturday afternoon at the Reedley State Qualifier on September 17th. The fees for this special race will be just $23 at the window, and $21 for a family of 3 or more riders. If you pre-sign for this race, the fees are $21 and $19 respectively.

Again this year, at the Reedley race in September we will be starting the jacket sign-up for proper sizing of your 2011 Golden State custom jacket. Pictures will taken at this time for your Championship Race plaque. You will also be able to sign up for your jacket and take your picture on the Championship weekend, October 8-9, if you can't attend this qualifier weekend.

Also, so that the racers living around Orange Cove can still qualify for the Championship, their qualifier will now be held at the nearest track, Reedley. The fees for this qualifier will be $30 at the window, and $28 for a family of 3 or more. If you pre-sign, the fees are $28 and $26 respectively. The Orange Cove date is still August 20th and 21st.

This weekend we will be running our state qualifiers at Manzanita Park. We will also run the postponed Livermore state qualifier this weekend on Sat. afternoon. Sign-ups for the Livermore race will take place for 30 minutes after the first race, with racing ASAP. The fees for the Manzanita state qualifiers will be $30 for all classes, and family discount will be $28. The fees for the Livermore race will be $23 for all classes. This fee is different because that was the rate on Livermore's original date. We will run a Pro-Am race on Saturday with 100% payback and $200 additional money provided by Golden State. Fees for the Pro-Am race will be $30. Hope to see you there!
