2012 TEAM RULES
Teams will start out using the 2011 NBL state team rules. A meeting will be held at the first race between the Team Coordinator and the team managers to see if any changes are necessary.
2012 TEAM CLASSIFICATIONS
State Team: Any team that has a bicycle shop (Store front or mobile unit) and sells bicycles or bicycle related components, wares,
or any group or person that puts together a team that wears a common uniform.
Track/Open: Any team composed of riders who are not sponsored by one of the above, but is sponsored only by the track or any team formed on the day of the race. Open teams cannot have a Factory rider on the roster.
The team coordinator reserves the right to determine if a team competes in State Teams or Track/Open divisions.
All team managers must submit to the team coordinator a new roster by the first full weekend of the State Qualifier racing (not the Commissioner's Cup) that they will be competing in. All changes, adds/drops must also be made seven (7) days in advance of the next race. A rider can only be on one (1) team roster at a time.
Rosters must be locked in by September 10, 2009. Teams may add new riders, but cannot use them for points. The only exception is NEW teams. When a team drops a rider, the team manager must notify the team coordinator in writing of the change in the roster.
When a rider voluntarily leaves a team, the rider must notify the team coordinator in writing to have his or her name removed from the roster. If a rider leaves a team, he or she may not rejoin that team for the remainder of the season.
If a rider has been on a team roster and decides to change teams, then he or she may be added to another team roster. However, he or she may not be used for thirty (30) days from the time the new roster is submitted.
A rider may be on only one (1) team roster in only one (1) team category at any given time.
If a team is found to be illegal, the entire team may be disqualified for the race in which the illegal member is entered. The team coordinator will make this decision.
ENTRY AND SCORING
The entry fee for the 2008 season is $20.00 per team sheet entered. The team manager may enter one (1) or more team sheets at a State Qualifier.
If a team manager enters two (2) or more team sheets, he or she must designate which team is A, B, etc. The team sheet with the highest points
will be used to determine which team sheet will be used for the final scoring.
Preview of an official "Summary Sheet," which shows how motos are combined will be allowed prior to the posting of motos. (new 2008)
All team sheets must be turned into the team coordinator prior to the posting of motos.
A team sheet may consist of five (5) riders of which the top four (4) riders will be used to determine the final score for that team sheet. Team sheets must have a minimum of one (1) rider.
